Q: What is the Missouri River Baseball Academy?
A: The Missouri River Baseball Academy is a year-round baseball development program for players ages 9–18, operated by the Missouri River Baseball Club (MRBC) in partnership with Get Right Training. The Academy combines elite instruction, skill development, and competitive tournament play both locally and nationally.
Q: Who runs the Academy?
A: The Academy is directed and overseen by the Missouri River Baseball Club, with training and coaching support provided by Dylan and Tyler Thomas of Get Right Training. Together, MRBC and Get Right Training ensure players receive top-level coaching, organizational support, and a pathway for development.
Q: What does “year-round training” mean?
A: Players receive access to:
Fall/Winter Open-Gym Sessions (individual development focus). HERE IS THE FALL SCHEDULE.
Spring Development Sessions (team-based practices once rosters are set, focusing on teamwork and game preparation)
Training is individualized with tools like Rapsodo, iPitch Smart Pitching Machine, Blast Sensors, and Pocket Radar.
Q: What ages can participate?
A: The Academy is open to ages 9–18. Players are grouped as:
9–13U (Club + Academy Program)
14U+ (Academy Program)
Q: Do players have to live in Bismarck?
A: No. Players in both 9–13U and 14U+ divisions can be from anywhere — residency is not restricted. We want to work with other baseball clubs and organizations to provide players with the most opportunities possible.
Q: How does the Academy fee work for returning MRBC players?
A: For 9–13U players, the Academy’s $500 fee is all-inclusive. It covers both their Academy training and their club travel baseball season — it is not in addition to a separate MRBC club fee. Families will only pay the Academy fee, not two different charges.
Q: When are evaluations held?
A:
9–13U: January or February
14U+: Spring
Q: How many teams will there be?
A:
9–13U: No cap on the number of teams.
14U+: Limited to three total teams.
Q: How many tournaments will we play in?
A: Each team participates in 5–8 tournaments annually, depending on age and level.
Q: Where will tournaments be held?
A:
9–13U: Includes two tournaments hosted in Bismarck by MRBC, plus additional regional events.
14U+: Includes at least one tournament hosted in Bismarck, plus regional and national travel opportunities.

Q: How much does it cost to join the Academy?
A:
9–13U: $500 per year (covers both club play and Academy training — all-inclusive)
14U+: $1,200 per year
Q: Can we offset fees through fundraising or sponsorships?
A: Yes. Families may raise sponsorships in place of registration fees. Contact us for details.
Q: Can I bring my whole team into the Academy?
A: Yes! Not only can you bring your entire team into the Academy, but you can also bring that same team into our MRBC club travel season. This allows teams to stay together year-round while receiving the full benefits of Academy training and competitive play.
Q: Can players train with the Academy but play elsewhere in the summer?
A: Yes. Players may train with the Academy while playing for another organization.
Q: Is dual rostering allowed?
A: Yes. Players may be dual-rostered but must commit to the Academy as their top priority.
Q: Who do I contact with more questions?
A: Please email missouririverbaseballclub@gmail.com or call Brett Narloch at 218-779-6384.
